Artist & educator DZ Maciel, is unbound by medium finding creative expression across genres in her invitational examination of the human condition.

Her eclectic sensibility is reflected in her career as a performer with installation artist Sarah Cameron Sunde, The Equus Projects creating work with horses, and Washington, D.C.’s Dance Exchange.

Through varying projects her focus has remained constant:

People, relationships, and the spirit human condition. At the core DZ is a researcher of how we share this time and space.

DZ focuses on working with folks and projects equally committed to amplifying people’s stories and loves to work collaboratively.

As an educator, DZ has worked nationally with communities of all ages, notably at Wayne State University with Liz Lerman's Critical Response Process, at Jacob’s Pillow as part of a their STEAM and Curriculum in Motion program, and with bilingual communities throughout NYC at Arts by the People and with Mi Casita.
